Braiyn (girl)
I was looking at the newspaper and I found an unusual name. The first baby born in my town (not including my baby cousins that were born out of town) in the new year was named.....Braiyn Dennai Shaian (girl) who was born on Jan. 12th. Parents are Shawna and Brian Dyck (not the last name, for clarification) and older sister is named Daide. What do you think of it? How would you pronounce it? Personally I don't like it, too trendy, hard to pronounce and too many i's and n's.

Wow, that's a mess of ugly, isn't it? It looks like either Brayin' or Brain. I'm going with Brayin'. I'd pronounce it Brayin' Den-AY SHAY-an.Braiyn and Daide. Brayin' and Dayde. Wow. It's making my Parker nightmare seem not so bad by comparison.

It looks like a failed creative female varient on the Father's name, Brian. Should have gone with Briana.

really looks like Brain and Dead to me...as well as brain deadAt first I thought that maybe it was supposed to be some form of Bryan, but after seeing Daide...I really wonder

My first thought was that it was a wacky spelling of Brian, but it could be pronounced BRAY-in or something else. If it's BRAY-in, it sounds too close to the word "brain." I don't care for it if it's pronounced like Brian either. Daide is also NMS.

However you pronounce it it's bad. "Brain"? "Brian"? "Bray-in" (braying?)?

Braiyn Dyck? I feel so bad for that kid.

Braiyn Dyck? That child is going to need therapy... Is Shaian supposed to be Cheyenne? If not, I think it would be a good character name.

Dyck is the dad's second name I'm sure, not the last name or I also would feel for that girl.

BRAINS!I suppose it's supposed to be "bray-in" but I can only think of hungry zombies. Way too trendy. Can you imagine putting that on an office door, a syllabus, an academic paper?

I want to pronounce it like Brain. But I guess it's honoring dad... Brian. [I think their thinking is BRAI, pronounced like BRY + yn. :\ ]
Icky. Shaian is kinda cool though. lol, I guess I could use that as an anagram of my middle name?
