It's hauntingly beautiful.
Gorgeous
Growing up (in the U.S.), my parents had friends name James and Mairead. They weren't family, but we called them Uncle James and Auntie Mairead anyway. I thought as a child I'd like to have a boy and a girl named James and Mairead. :-)
I wish Mairead was more known outside Ireland. It has a warm, sweet honey-like quality to it. My favorite combo for it is Mairead Caroline or Mairead Cathleen.

I like it!
It's been a favorite for a long time, and part of the reason I'm so attatched to it is because I love Irish names and I love Margaret. It has such a nice look and sound too.
