Love it.
I would use it if my hubby liked it.I'm not sure if it's dated or not. I went to school with a LOT of Alisons. I equate Alison with Susan & Margaret - they peaked in popularity but never quite went out of style.It's too common to have stereotypes with it, although I tend to see it as a preppy name. I just think it's pretty in a very quiet, understated way.
