It's interesting, but NMS. I wasn't sure if it rhymed with Melanie or Delaney at first. It seems like a combination of Stella and Melanie to me, but it could have been influenced by Stephanie too. Perhaps it's a combination of Stephanie and Melanie but with a "y" ending instead of "ie"?
As for spelling, Stelanie would have looked a bit prettier.

When I googled the name I was surprised to find a number of people out there with the name Stelany/Stelanie/Stelani.
