I hope you wouldn't use Pony as a nn for Epona. I'm not a fan of Epona, but Pony is an animal that I can't see as a nn for anyone. Maybe it has to do with Ponyboy in The Outsiders.
I like Aelwen, Aderyn, Arianrhod, Eslpeth, Maeve, and Seren

SiobhanIn terms of usability I'm not a massive fan of name like Tangwystl, but that's just because I'm unsure how to pronounce them! I have yet to meet a Shelagh or Elspeth under the age of about 45 in Scotland either so I can't help but associate them with older generations.

Which of the names *have* you seen on younger generations, and which are usable? Do you think names like Shelagh and Elspeth are dated in a bad way or in a good way? Like, in the U.S., a name like Louisa would be dated in a good way, but Linda in a bad way. I'm assuming you're from Scotland, given your comment about meeting people with those names.

Yeah I'm from Scotland. Well from those names I've seen these on the younger generations:

Aisling
Caoimhe
Carys
Emer
Fiona
Maeve
Niamh (a few times)
Rhiannon
Roisin
Sinead (quite popular here)
Siobhan (same as Sinead)I would say those are all usable, the other ones on your list I haven't really heard of or met anyone with those names so I can't comment on their usability. But Shelagh and Elspeth which are particularly dated in Scotland might hold a sort of charm if you're from elsewhere. I don't know, but here they are dated in a bad way.

As you can probably see, I have a preference for Welsh names.
I like...
Aelwen
Anwen
Aisling - only this spelling
Áine* - this is the original Irish spelling of Enya, right?
Branwen
Briallen
Bronwen
Caoimhe*
Creirwy*
Carys
Ceridwen
Elen
Elspeth*
Elain
Firinne
Flanna*
Ganeida
Grainne
Gwendolen
Kerensa
Liadan - really cool meaning! Grey lady sounds mysterious.
Maeve*
Maiwen
Mavourneen
Morwenna*
Mor*
Myfanwy
Niamh*
Orlaith
Rhiannon
Rhosyn
Sinead
Sorcha*
Siofra*
Tegwen
