Swedish words as names - edited with more
I thought that maybe someone was intrested in see some Swedish words that also are used as names here. Most of them are common, some are uncommon but not unheard of. The english meaning is within parenthesis. I might add more. Also, some of the names aren't pronounced the same as the word, but most of them are. Sol (sun)

I like/love:Vilja (will/want) - This is also a word name in Finnish but it means grain (or crops)

There is 418 people here in Sweden who are named Viking (as a FN). That doesn't really say much for anyone outside Sweden I guess..
It's a little unusual, but not unheard of. :)

I love Sol, Vilda, Lova, Tindra, Liv, Tova and Vilde. And great meanings too!It's funny how it seems sometimes the name is coming from the word, sometimes it is just a coincidence but the meanings are interesting too (like Saga and Max?)

Stig (path), Sten (stone), Lilja (lily) and Vide (Willow) are some others. And maybe it should be noted that several of the names are just coincidences, for example the name Meja doesn't actaully come from the word "meja (ner)"...My favourite word names:
