Elsie
What do you think of Elsie (as a nn)?
What associations do you have with it?
What age of person do you see it on?
Thanks.

I really love it - its so underused and very sweet :)
I think it could work for any age.

Old, tired, working class. Pretty and frivolous on long-ago flappers! Funnily, I've known about three people with Elsie as a mn; one of them had a mother called Elsa.
Interesting...
Both my mom and my counselor (a generation older than me) thought of Elsie the cow right off. I had too Google that association. I think that might be a generational thing, at least here in the US.
Thanks for the input!

Elsie is cute in a very old-fashioned way. I imagine a little blonde country girl having this name.
1.) Elsie is adorable! Full name suggestions: Elizabeth or Elspeth.
2.) When I think of Elsie I think of the little girl in Fairy Tale. You know, the movie/book about the two little girls who took photographs of fairies?
3.) I actually see it on little girls. I think Elsie would be a cute name for young girl and Elspeth for when she's older.

I love Elsie as a full name and a nickname :)
It was my great grandmothers name so I see it on older women, BUT I think it's due for a revival :)
