It reminds me of a cigarette brand. The city of Bristol was a major participant in, and beneficiary of, the Atlantic slave trade, so I would never name a child in its honour!

Oh wow, I never knew of it's history. I just heard the name from the Palins and that they picked it because of a place called Bristol Bay in Alasksa. But wow, yea probably not something I'd wanna use now. Thanks. ~Laura
