Sheridan and Brook
I usually don't like boys names on girls but I have been liking Sheridan for a girl quite a bit lately. I would hate to have her called Sheri as a nn though.
Other than saying that you hate boys names on girls, what do you think of this name.
I think it is a good boy's name too, but I don't like it as much for a boy (now, anyway).
Also, I have been liking Brook for a boy very much. What do you think?

I love it!
I actually like Sheridan on a girl! My eye doctor's daughter is named Sheridan and she's so pretty and her name fits her perfectly that I couldn't help but like it. I also secretly like it on a boy but it now sounds rather feminine to me.
I like Brook (spelled this way) on a boy but if you add an E on the end it looks very feminine. I don't like it as well.

I don't really like Sheridan on either sex. It's a surname to me--I knew a family by name of Sheridan, and their kids had very interesting names. They had a Locklan and a Kosmena (both of whom are my age or older), and somewhere in the family, there was a Maverick. I think of them immediately.
I also think of the fact that Sheridan first got its big push via a soap opera; it's a name that belongs with Kayla and so forth.
Brook, on the other hand, I like a lot for a boy. I'm not sure how well it'd work in practice, but in theory I think it's fabulous. Reminds me of Mr. John Brooke of Little Women.

Sheridan isn't especially a boys' name to start with. It's just a surname. I quite like it for a female. It reminds me of Tommy Sheridan, a prominent Scottish socialist.
I only like the spelling Brooke, and the name on a girl. I used to like Brook for a boy but I tired of it.
