Everett
What sort of image does this name conjure up?
I'm looking for something masculine, but not over the top "manly".
hubby likes Andrew, but I find it kind of....blah.
thanks!

I get a vague impression of a rather prosperous guy in a suit, perhaps a merchant banker; and also of a plumber! So it seems suitable for a wide range of people ... And I do agree with you about Andrew, which definitely does lack pizazz. Would your DH settle for Everett Andrew? I think it's a good combo.
It sounds like the name of a a guy back in the 1920's. I still like it though
I like the name Everett. It definitely sounds masculine, but it's not overly "manly." I could imagine someone named Everett enjoying the outdoors, but he could easily be interested in other things too.
Andrew is a nice name, but it's too common for my tastes. I think it would be fine a middle name though.
Other ideas:
Evander
Elliot / Elliott
Silas
Oliver
Henry
Tobias
Patrick

Everett is a town north of where I live, so it's s little strange as a fn for me. I'm more of an Everard fan. But Everett is very handsome and will definitely age well.
In the same vein, have you considered: Emeric / Emmerich, Alban, Merrick, Roderick, Emmet, Stellan, Stuart, Derek, Hollis, Kendrick, Stirling, Desmond, Kendall, Garrick / Garrett, Dominic, Ennis, Dashiell, Esmund, Lowell, Benedict?

I love Everett. Classic, not popular yet not strange.
