Grace is very common as a middle name these days, but using it would be a good way to honor your grandmother. It seems a lot less like a filler middle name in that case.
I think that Hayleen would probably cause confusion. I'd imagine that people would be inclined to mistake it for Hayley/Haley/Hailey, etc., which is what usually happens with unusual names that are very close to popular names. I've actually heard of people with unusual names going by very similar, more common names. My guess is that they got tired of having to correct people all of the time. Although it's more popular, I'd recommend just going with Hayleigh instead of Hayleen.
Magdalene is pretty. Maggie or Maddie would both work well as nicknames for it.
