Honor is the most usual spelling in the UK and has been for 100 years or so. I'm not exactly sure why, but suspect you're right that it's a way of distinguishing the name from the word - we don't seem to go in for word-names much here. Also, Honor Blackman (British actress) probably popularised it a bit.Nice to see Grainne! And unusual to see a parent called Tory in the UK - I wonder if she's American.
