Try to convince him that no one will pronounce Roche as Rocky. They will all say ROSH or ROHSH, as they should. Too bad your Rochelle suggestion didn't take!
If I had to use Rocky for a girl, I'd spell it Rockie, I guess. Rakki? Heh.
