I think it's a lovely name with staying power - not dated at all.

I think it's very simple, sweet, rosy, and absolutely lovely. I've liked it for years and would use it in real life as either a first or middle name. My grandfather's middle name is Clair, so it could be after him too. My favorite combo for it is Claire Marguerite.

I've been liking Claire more and more lately. It has such a gentle old fashioned charm to it. It seems like the name a very kind, caring person would have. I'm sure there are plenty of mean Claires out there, but I just get this feeling of sweetness when I see it!
