I love both names. Montgomery "Monty" is my stuffed white rabbit's name...I named him in alludance to Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail.
As for Vladimir, I'm pretty sure that at one time I actually wanted to use this for a kid.

Vlad is awesome beyond belief. Monty just sounds snobbish and makes me think of Monty Burns.

I've always liked Monty, and Vlad sounds so badass.

I'm not surprised to see a Vlad, given the East European communities in Oz.
But I'm mighty surprised to see a Monty! The song "Burlington Bertie of Bow" springs to mind.
