Annabella

I think its very pretty. No more frilly or prissy than Isabella.
I love Annabella but i like Annabelle a little bit more. It's girly but not to much more in that romantic kind of way.
But yes, i think it will rise as an alternative to Isabella.
And no, i think people will rather shorten it to Bella or maybe Annie.
Annabella Catherine is very nice but anyways i'll give you some suggestions ;)
Annabella Catrin
Annabella Charity
Annabella Clementine

Annabella is fussy in an 18th century way. Annabelle is fussy in a 21st century way, and could well tag along after Isabelle (which I suspect is more widely used than Isabella, though i haven't got good stats).
Annabel is the oldest, most traditional and, to my eyes, most usable of them all. I would love to see little Annabels waddling around, but not the other two, actually.
Bella. There are plenty in my family tree from the end of the 19th century, but in today's world I know lots of pet dogs called Bella and, so far, only one human born after 1950.
Ann(e) or Annie seems more likely as a nn. And if you're worried about that, maybe consider using it as a mn: Catherine Annabella, perhaps?

I think Annabella is lovely and while it is very frilly and feminine, it's also strong too. I don't think it's over the top frilly though. It may get a little more popular because of Isabella, but they are different sounding names, so it may not have the same appeal. Bella is a very sweet nn. You might get people trying to shorten it to Anna, but if you don't want that, then just let them know. Annabella Catherine, while a very long combo, is also very pretty.
It reminds me of anabolic steriods and portabello mushrooms.
I strongly prefer Annabel.
