Troy

I used to like it when I was younger, but nowadays it makes me think of some creepy guy on the internet at the public library.
I like it. I know two Troys in their mid to late 30's and they're both really good looking and very nice/cool.
It's the stereotypical trendy/preppy name for me. Also, who wants to be named like a city that got defeated and burned down?
stong manly name.. kind of old school.. unfortunatly i dont like any of the troys i know... so for me its a no go
I like it.

Unfortunately I can't stand the name. My best friend dated a Troy in high school- I didn't like him at all. Funny how a person can affect opinions of a name.
I despise the name Troy. It's very modern and American.
Used to like it until my little cousins fell in love with high school musical and now thats all i can think of when i hear it. Ick.
Er, yuck, thanks for the reminder. Guess that makes it a no-no then.
I've never cared for this name. Even in History and Literature classes when you learn the "romantism" of the place name it's still so ... drab. I can just see harrassment out of this name, too ("boy toy Troy"). Plus, I knew a kid in high school with this name - he was a priceless pr***.
I've never cared for it. It reminds me of cheesey teen idols from the 1950's like Troy Donohue.
But I'm an old bag. I doubt anyone would even know who that is anymore. It is the name of the city in Homer's epic so I should like it on snobbery grounds alone. I just can't. But I don't see why others shouldn't love it and use it. :-)
