Melissa
What do you think of Melissa? Does it sound dated to you? I just really like the meaning and the sound but I hate the nicknames Lissy and Missy.
Do you think it's usable for a baby? Do you know many girls named Melissa? Any younger ones?
What do you think of Melisa? I kind of like it pr. meh-LEE-sa do you think that pr. would work? Or do you pr. it like Melissa?

I love Melissa. I think it is a bit dated considering all of the Melissas I know personally are in my generation. I think it is usable for a baby. Melisa is pretty too. I would pronounce that as meh-LEE-sa, but then I would pronounce Melissa as meh-LEE-sa too in certain contexts.
I know tons of Melissas, ten at least. It's a very 80's name I guess. No baby Melissas. I don't know if it sounds dated, but it sounds pretty tired, like Jennifer and Ashley. But it is certainly usable.
I would probably think Melisa is a "creative" spelling of Melissa and pronounce it as such until corrected.

I just hate Melissa because it's too pretty-pretty and it seems like it's trying too hard. I just feel like anyone who uses Melissa must be superficial.
It is dated, but it's still perfectly usable for a baby. I know that Melissa was popular, but now that I think about it I haven't known that many. I seem to remember that there was one girl named Melissa in my high school class (and for my age group it was an unusual name) and that my older sister had a friend who named her baby Melissa back in the 70's.
