I really like Gaenor and added it to my PNL recently. Probably I'd classify it as a GP cuz of the Gay issue, but it's really pretty, isn't it? Actually I find Gaenor way prettier than Gaynor.

I'm not fond of it at all, but it's the middle name of one of my (male) friends. He pronounces it GAI-nor.

Has no one mentioned Mitzi?;)

My very first reaction, but I just finished reading "Breakfast on Pluto."

If it's pronounced like "guy ner" it reminds me of gyno ... like gynecology. Otherwise like gainer, a backwards somersault, and the word gay ... I can't warm up to it much. Decent, but I don't care for it.

It's GAI-nor (I had a friend at school of this name) but for obvious reasons I would choose the spelling Gaenor, as used in the Welsh film "Solomon and Gaenor".

At first I was afraid, I was petrified.Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side.
But then I spent so many nights thinkin 'bout how you did me wrong,
And I grew strong, and I learned how to get along!
AND NOW YOU'RE BACK! FROM OUTERSPACE!
I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face!
I should've changed that stupid lock, I would've made you leave your key,
If I'd've known for just one minute, you'd be back to bother MEEE OHHH
NOW GO! WALK OUT THE DOOR! JUST TURN AROUND NOW, YOU'RE NOT WELCOME ANYMORE!
Weren't you the one who tried to tempt me with desire?
Did you think I'd crumble, did you think I'd lay down and die?
OH NO NOT I! I WILL SURVIVE! AS LONG AS I HAVE LOVE TO GIVE I KNOW I'LL BE ALIVE! I'VE GOT ALL MY LIFE TO LIVE, I'VE GOT ALL MY LOVE TO GIVE, I WILL SURVIVE, I WILL SURVIIIIIIIVE!Yeah, it reminds me of Gloria Gaynor.

I don't think it's "tempt me with desire." I think it's "hurt me with goodbyes." Just sayin. :-D

Me too!Though your subject line would also be an apt description of how I'd feel to actually see "Gaynor" on a poor child. haha

lolGloria Gaynor indeed, though when I saw your title, I thought you were quoting this song because it's a gay anthem?Anyway, any name starting with "gay"'s a big no-no.

I didn't think of Gloria Gaynor at all. I thought of Janet Gaynor, the film star from the twenties and thirties. Maybe I'm showing my age. Nah, I'm just showing my love of old movies.Anyway, I don't think that any name that starts with Gay is a good idea.
