1. I like Andrew. It's not a favourite, but it's a nice enough name.
2. I've probably known over 100 Andrews! - if not more, but they're all over 20, and it's not in our recent top 100s. Andy is the most popular nn here, but most of the Andrews I've known have preferred to use the full version.
