Thoughts on Anselm?
What do ya'll think of the boys' name Anselm? I guess a nickname for him could be Ani or something...kind of girly but cute. =)
It's very different and slightly odd to pronounce but it has a special ring to it to me. It seems authorish as well...which I LOVE.
I like the matches Anselm Nathanael, Anselm Nehemiah,& Anselm Thulani.

I like it. A lot. Every time I hear it, I see a very sophisticated, yet zen-ish person in my mind's eye. "Unfortunately", where I live it's a typical friar's name, so whenever I mention it to someone they just think of monks... Oh, well...
I also like the feminine short form Selma.

I really like it. there is something so early-renaissance-court-painterly about it. Very scholarly.
I don't think it would need a nickname at all! Maybe Ansel, but then why not just tack that "m" on there too.
