ELLEN is better!!!Ella is a rather dumb short form of Ellen. Ellen is much more distinguished nd a whole heck of a lot prettier than Ella._________________________________________________

The truth is, I have met the right person, only he's not in love with me, and until I stop loving him no-one else stands a chance

I love the name Ella, but unfortunately it's going the way of Emma and become/becoming nauseatingly popular at the moment. :( As for Ellen, I automatically think of Ellen DeGeneres, which isn't a bad thing but it just doesn't have a very "pretty" sound for me, either. I've never really cared for it, but I don't hate it, either. If I ever used it, I thought I'd more than likely use the nn Ella or Ellie with it. :b

I love both, but I think Ellen has more staying power. It has a "still-waters-run-deep" quality that I find very appealing.

Ellen by far, Ella is a nickname to me

Ella, hands down. It's much nicer and more feminine than Ellen, I think.

Ellen. It's pretty and seems more distinguished and grown up than Ella."No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

Ella! However, I'm biased since it's my niece's name :)

Ellen by far. It's much more interesting than Ella at this point, and while I like Ella in theory (blame Ella Fitzgerald), I know Ellen is great in practice (I've yet to meet an Ellen I didn't like, and I know quite a few my age or younger).Array

I prefer Ella. It's too simple for my taste, but I dislike Ellen because it reminds me of Helen. (For some reason I loathe Helen.)
