Re: WDYTO Maureen?

I adore the name Maureen. Then again, it's my niece's name (Maureen Elizabeth, nn Mo) so I'm biased. We called her Momo as a child, but she didn't like that very much.
She's 21 now, and I'm told there are several little Maureens in the Catholic school system in their town right now -- her mother is a teacher so I have inside info. I don't know if it will be catching on nation-wide, but I'm happy there's at least a pocket where it seems to be surviving well.
I love Mairin too, although I would be torn between pronouncing is the same as Maureen or as "MOY-reen."
