I posted about Nora a while back and got lots of great responses. One concern was that Nora didn't sound complete. I am not sure about using Eleonor/a because I was trying to honor my gma, Norma. Her full name was Norma Lee (yes, "normally" and I know Lee is trad. mascueline...) so what about the name Lenora to honor? DD could go by Nora but would have a fuller fn. Or should I scrap Lenora and go with Nora?

I like both Nora and Lenora, although I prefer Lenore but only because it was my great-grandmother's name. I think Nora sounds complete and prefer it to Lenora. I also think it closer resembles Norma and the link between Nora ands Norma is easier to see than the link between Lenora and Norma. If I had to choose between Lenora Emmeline and Nora Emmeline I would pick Nora Emmeline although I think both combos are just fine.

If you're using Nora as a full name, I'd definitely spell it Norah. That looks like a complete fn to me, whereas Nora doesn't.
Lenora is beautiful. However, I think it's a real stretch to say it honours Norma. On the other hand, I can see Norah doing that. Personally, I'd use Lenora on its own merits. It's just a beautiful name, and if it has this extra meaning for you, then go for it.

I really like Lenora! I know a nice girl by this name so I have good associations with it. It is also a very pretty sounding name. I think it would be nice for your dd to be able to go by Nora or Lenora. I don't really love Emmeline, but its not awful, just not a favorite of mine- I think because it seems overly flowery.

I like Nora on its own, too. Lenora just makes me think of Lenore, and of Edgar Allan Poe. Not that that's a bad association for me, but... nonetheless. I think Nora Emmeline is a beautiful name. :)

I love Lenore, Elenore, and Elenor; they're three of my all-time favourites. Lenora feels a bit too "trying too hard" to me, I'm afraid; the A on the end takes it from dark-sounding and mysterious to hipster chic. I feel the same way about Clarisse to Clarissa and so on--the A-ending names are just too popular a style for my tastes right now.
However, if that doesn't bother you, I think Lenora is fine as a name. Nora on its own is also fine--it's a "full" first name in itself. Whichever you prefer, she'll have a strong name that will hold up through adulthood.
Lenora Emmeline isn't too much if you like it, but I'm a big proponent of long names and thus biased. :)
And, I have to say, I think that Norma's a nice name, too. On the right kid, it could be downright awesome.

I think Lenora Emmeline is a beautiful way to honor your g-ma! And since her name is Norma Lee you could emphisise the Lee part in Lenora and pronounce it lee-nora instead of like le-nora or la-nora. I think it's a lovely combo! Emmeline is so pretty too! :)

Nora Emmeline sounds gorgeous and you should definitely go on with it if you like it. To me, Nora is a complete name.
I've never heard of the name Lenora before but I like it. The combo Lenora Emmeline also sounds great. Anyway I would prefer Nora Emmeline.
