Meadow
What do you think of Meadow? Do you think of it as a hippie name?Do you think Maddie could be a nickname for Meadow? Or Meaddie?Do you know anyone named Meadow? What kind of name would you pair it with? Another nature name or a classic?

Meadow isn't too bad as a name. Meadow is a pretty word. I would think of it as being hippie.I don't think it really needs a nickname, as it's only two syllables. Meadow is no harder to say than Maddie, so I don't really see the point.I've never known anyone named Meadow.

Soprano!I don't think of it as a hippie name since that show! Mafia princess, all the way. I guess Maddie could be used, but it's a bit of a stretch. Her nickname was "Med" on the show, which I didn't enjoy. I'd pair it with a classic. Another nature name would definitely put it in hippie-ville. Meadow Lucy immediately came to mind.

-I like Meadow; I think it IS a hippie name, but there's really nothing wrong with that.Do you think Maddie could be a nickname for Meadow? Or Meaddie?
-I don't think Meadow needs a nickname. There are plenty of Maddies already running around, and Meaddie sounds strange.Do you know anyone named Meadow? What kind of name would you pair it with? Another nature name, or a classic?
-No, I don't know anyone who goes by the name. If you want to avoid being thought of as a hippie, I would pair it with something a bit more conventional rather than another nature name.

I love Meadow. Feminines names ending in an "o" sound are a particular favorite of mine. I know some consider it a "hippie" name, but to me it's timeless and has nothing but lovely associations. Then again, I love hippies so it all comes together in the end for me. :-)Maddie could work for a nn, sure. Meaddie feels a little forced, though. I don't know anyone named Meadow. When you say "pair" with it, are you talking about a sibling name, or a mn?Meadow and Carys

Meadow is cute, but I wouldn't use it. I think Maddie could be a nickname for Meadow but I don't think it is the best one. I do not know anyone named Meadow and if I did use the name I would use a classic name.

I don't think Meadow is a hippie name. But if I decided to use it, only for a middle name. It sounds much more beautiful that way.Maddie might be a good nickname, it depends on what Meadow likes. I would pear it with something other than a nature name. Meadow with a nature name sounds really tacky to me, and I don't know why.
