Kaia
I used to love this name and am starting to like it again.
Would you pronounce it KAH-ya or KY-ah?
Would you spell it Kaya or Kaia? Caia or Caya?
Do you think it's too trendy or insubstantial?
Do you think it'll get common because it's close to common names like Kayla and Maya?
Do you know anyone with the name?

I like it alot, but its one of those names that I wouldn't use in real life because it doesn't really fit with all the other names I like.
I'd pronounce it Ky-uh and I really like the Kaia spelling. I don't think its trendy - it's not a made up name, its actually norwegian in origin.

In southern Africa it means 'a house' and sounds like KY-ah. If you put 'piccaninny' with it, then it means 'a little house', which if you are being not-so-polite actually means a toilet or outhouse and abbreviates usefully to PK, so people ask where the PK is.
Of course, this is no reason to avoid it. But it prevents me from thinking of it as a human name, or any kind of name actually.

KY-ah unless I was told otherwise.
I would spell it Kaiah (but Kaia's nice too).
It's kinda trendy but I wouldn't say it's too trendy.
I think it might become more popular but not top 10/15/20 popular if you know what I mean.
I just met a couple the other day who named their baby girl, now 1 yr, Kaia but I don't know how the spelled it.
Oh, and I like the name, I really do. =)

I like it. It's very spunky.
Ky-ah
Kaia. Kaya is confusing (Ky-ah? Kay-ah?), and Caia/Caya looks wrong IMO. Normally I'd choose C overK, but not for Kaia.
I wouldn't consider Kaia trendy itself, but it is quite similar to alot of names that I would consider trendy. I can picture an adult Kaia though.
I have no idea. I'm no good at predicting popularities.
No, I don't.

I can't hear a difference between KY-ah and KAH-yah, really. I'd write my pronunciation as KIE-ah. Kaia is my favorite spelling, but I like it as a nickname only. It is very insubstantial alone.
I have been pronouncing it KY-ah, and I prefer the Kaia spelling. I wouldn't say it was trendy, although I can see how it would be perceived as such.
I don't know anyone by this name, but I do see it could become more common.

I absolutely adore Kaia! It is my number one pick for my next daughter. We say KIE-uh. I prefer Kaia or Kaja. I definately don't think its trendy or insubstantial. Its spunky and feminine.
I'm very concerned about it getting popular which is why I'm still not %100 sure that I'll choose it. Hopefully we'll have a boy next and it will be a few years till we have another girl, then maybe I'll be able to gage the popularity increase.

Would you pronounce it KAH-ya or KY-ah?
-KY-ah.
Would you spell it Kaya or Kaia? Caia or Caya?
-Kaia. I think that's the prettiest spelling.
Do you think it's too trendy or insubstantial?
-No, I think it *sounds* trendy, but it really isn't. If I recall correctly, it didn't place very high in the charts this last year.
Do you think it'll get common because it's close to common names like Kayla and Maya?
-Possibly. It starts with the trendiest letter, and it sounds similar.

I like Kaia. I don't find it trendy or insubstantial at all. I would spell it the way you have it, Kaia.
Your pronunciation guides are the same to me, since the long "i" sound is a dipthong, made up of "ah" + "ee." You've just interrupted the sounds in different places. If I were to write out how I would say it, it would be, "KIE-uh," but it's all the same to my ears. (I hope that made sense.)
Everyone is scared that their new favorite name will become massively popular. Almost everyone is wrong. There are so many great names out there that I doubt very much Kaia will hit Emily status any time soon. Kai as a male name seems to have more potential to climb the charts than Kaia for a girl, but that's just a guess.
