Linnea
I really like the name Linnea, when I looked it up on this site it says its pronounced 'LEE-ne-ah', but I have always heard it pronounced 'Lih-nay-ah'. How do YOU pronounce it, and what do you think of it?

I love Linnea. I pronounce it Lynn-ee-uh.
I love this name, it's one of my favorites. If I were to have a baby girl right now, it'd be a definite contender for the first name :)
I live in the USA, and I pronounce it lih-NAY-uh. Have I been saying it wrong?

LEE-ne-ah is the Swedish prn
I love the name and I have a friend name this and since I live in Sweden I prn it LEE-ne-ah. I'm not a fan of the english prn..
Edit: I hate the name if it's spelled Linnéa :P

I've always put the stress on the second syllable (lee-NEH-ah) and I live in Sweden too. Maybe it is a regional thing.
I pronounce it Lyn-ay-uh. I don't like it, but only because I don't like any name that has the lyn sound in it. However that said, it is definitely the nicest 'Lyn' name
I say Li-NAY-uh as well. I think it's beautiful and underused.
I say lih-NAY-ah. I looked this up on BTN recently and it's listed in a tricky way -- Linnéa is one listing and Linnaea is another, and their listings are pronounced differently.
lyn-Eh-a is how I pronounce it.
It's okay - not bad, not my fave.

I pronounce it lih-NAY-a, but I also spell it Linnéa, not Linnea.
I think it is a lovely name. It used to be one of my top ten names for girls, and I keep debating if it should come back on the list.

I pronounce is Lih-nay-uh, and I think that the name is very pretty. :)
