Gracia
I was at work today, tidying the stock rooms (I work in a independent shoe shop - rather than sell our own brand shoes, we get different brands and sell them, such as Birkenstock & Riva), and I noticed that a pair of the Dorndorf shoes were called "Gracia" (different styles of shoes are usually given names). I couldn't work out whether this was an actually *name* name or just a pretty word, but when I looked for it on BtN, it came up.
BTN have it down as "GRAH-syah", whereas I was pronouncing it "GRAY-syah". Which do you prefer? Do you like the name itself, or do you prefer an alternative, like Grace or Gracie?

I don't like Gracia, it just sounds like "Gracias". However, I do love the Irish version of Grace, "Grannia" (I think the Irish spelling is Grainne).
It's kind of pretty but not something I would use. I've always heard it pronounced as GRAH-syah or GRAH-see-a. It kind of looks like a typo of the last name Garcia to me. I always think of that even though I know they are both completely different and legitimate names.

I would say it like Gray-shah
And I like it. Actually I kind of like it better than Grace or Gracie.

I like Gracia and since it is a Spanish name, I would pronounce it the Spanish way, GRAH-syah. I like Gracia or Graciela better than Grace. I just prefer names which have more than one syllable.

I met an extremely sweet little girl named Gracia (we were in the same 4H group), and so I like the name--though I wouldn't use it myself. She pronunced it GRAY-sha and had two siblings, Karl and Clara.
The three of them were wonderful kids, and so I only associate good with their names. While I'm so sick of all Grace-related names that I have no desire to use any of them, if I was going to pick one, I'd probably go with Gracia.

The pronunciation GRAY-sha is pretty, I think I like it better than GRAH-syah and GRAY-syah, which make me think of "Gracier", like "more Grace."
