Athena & Althea
Finally, a couple of names my husband likes that aren't Hannah, Olivia, or Sophia! YAY!!! Anyway, you know the drill: what do you think of these names, and which do you prefer?

I love Althea!

Athena.
Althea sounds like a Cockney saying healthier and dropping the h.
Anthea is also nice.

Althea!I agree with BBH, there is something nasally, almost harsh, about Athena. Althea on the other hand is soft, graceful, and pure elegance. I know an Athena and she is the craziest party girl I have ever met in my life! Perhaps that colours my perception about it as a name a bit.

I really like both of them. Althea is a little airier if that makes any sense. She is lighter and has the nice nickname option of Thea, though Athena is a great name too.

They're okay, but I slightly prefer Althea, because Athena can be pronounced a bit nasally at times.

I like both, but Althea wins for me too.

I love Althea. Athena is nice as well, but I definitely/easily prefer Althea!

I like both, but Althea takes the cake.

I loooove Athena! I'd use it in a heartbeat. I love Althea too but I have trouble with pronouncing TH right after L, so I couldn't use it.

I adore Athena and may end up with a gd by the same name. (Anna loves Athena). I want to like Althea because I love Thea. It's just that I went to school with a bully named Althea. She was huge! ;-) I realize the problem is mine. Actually, Althea has a nice sound.Between the two, though, Athena, hands down.
