DH suggested this...need nicknames
ApolloniaWhat do you think?Nickname suggestions? I'm not Polly's biggest fan. I think something a bit more creative is in order. Thoughts?Or how about no nickname at all?

I like the nickname Loni or no nickname at all.

Wow, thanks everyone!Wow, some of you are really passionate about this name!I think Polly could grow on me as a nn. I suggested Apple to DH, and he was like, "I was totally thinking that!"Hm.I do like Lola, and Nola too. Nia sounds too much like my given name. I have always LOVED Ally. But right now I think Loie / Loey sounds cute!

Right on DH!Too bad you aren't into Polly - I love that Apollonia can transform into Polly. and Polly is quite creative, in my opinion. It's got that hip geek-chic urban vibe to it.Apple is a cool choice for a nn, if you want something edgy.

I think Apple would be a cute nickname, if you are brave enough to go with it. In France, Apollines usually get shortened to Apo. In Poland its usually Pola or Polonia.

Apple!I love Apollonia, it's just recently made my PNL. I didn't like it when it was first suggested to me (by causegirl, as a name for my kitten, Apollonia nn Apple) I think the nn Apple is adorable. I also like the idea of Nia as a nn. I'd be so pleased to meet a little Apollonia.

I'm not a fan of it but I have a friend whose sister is named this. She's around 23 and goes by Polly. As for other nick names, I'd say Loni, Nia, or Lonia.

Ollie, Nia, Loni, Apollo, or Lonia. I think having a nickname is a good idea.

Apollonia reminds me of Prince. I might be wrong, but I believe that was the name of his girlfriend from "Purple Rain".Overall, I don't care for it. I think Polly can stand on its own.

I think you're fine with no nickname, but what about Apple?
