Sorry but I think it's a really unattractive name. It reminds be of guns, who would want to name their kid a word that designates the size of a bullet. I really don't get the appeal.
Gage is one of my least favorite names ever. I outright hate it. I think it has such a harsh, grating, ugly sound to it. It literally makes me cringe when I hear it.
Plus, I read the book Pet Sematary not long ago (have never seen the movie based on it) and I hated that book (actually, I regret reading it - and I don't say that about many books, even ones I dislike), which just makes me hate the name all the more.

I really don't like it. It just sounds so incredibly ugly and awkward, and it sounds like an attempt to be very masculine.
At leats its better than Cage. Or Caige, both of which I've seen unfourtunately.

Everytime I hear the name, I think of ear gauges. They're spelled differently but still sound the same.
I like it. I have never seen the Pet Semetary movie you guys are talking about, so I have no associations there.
I really hate it. It has one of the ugliest sounds ever (next to Greer) and reminds me of a) a cage and b) the boy from Pet Semetary. That book was the first time I read this name. I was like twelve and even then I thought it was appalling.
I don't like it. It's very preppy.
Gage is an okay name. I used to know a boy by that name...his parents were divorced so he stopped going to my school after the 1st semester due to his living arrangements. He was smart, and really funny...he had a Pac-Man hoodie that he would put on the CPR dummies in Health, and name the dummies Gage after himself. He dressed differently from everyone else...at least the guys. He was the only guy I ever knew to wear skinny jeans...he kind of looked like a girl, the way he dressed, if you think about it.
I really love this name. Even though the there is the Pet Semetary connotation. Just look at it this way. The boy who played Gage was soooo adorable. So it's not a bad thing to me.
I don't know what y'all are talking about... and yeah, the guy I got this name from is really cute, too.
Warning a movie spoiler! About Pet Semetary
Pet Semetary is a scary movie. In that movie a cute little boy named Gage becomes a zombie so to speak. He is brought back from the dead after being buried in a haunted cemetary. So is the mother in the movie and the family cat. Sad movie but very good. Just to summarize. I really liked the movie. There was a couple sequals to it as well. I still like the name Gage despite the connotation. :)

Isn't Pet Semetary a song by the Ramones?
Yes, but it was also a novel by Stephen King and a movie directed by Mary Lambert (if I recall correctly). The little boy in the book/movie was named Gage, and...well, I won't spoil it, but it's a very sad story.
Pet Semetary
That's all I think of when I hear it, so I dislike it. It also is just too wordy for me.

It's too technical and financial for my taste.
