Bring it back, I say. I've always liked this name too; I've had many a stuffed animal named Gloria as a kid.

I feel like I should like it because of its ending. I normally love the IA ending. But Gloria just seems low-class and too "All in the Family" to me.

I adore it, it's a great bloody roar of humanity. Bring it back, bring it back!

I like it as a mn (it sounds really good with most fns) but I think it sounds dated and a little too preachy for a fn. I think it is because I always imagine a choir singing 'Gloria' over and over which is a really vivid memory of my hours in Mass as a child...anyway, it is one of those names that there is nothing intrinsically wrong with but I just don't think it is ready for a comeback yet.
