It's really not my style. It's too plain.

I love Jane. It's my middle name, and many of my schoolmates know me by this. Also, I associate it with my favorite book, Jane Eyre, and the countless other literary Janes of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, and also one of my favorite authors, Jane Austen. It is a family name of mine and although it isn't too common anymore I have met others in the area where I live...I once had to go somewhere in a car with an Elizabeth and a Jane while my name is Elizabeth Jane...led to a bit of confusion at first. I love this name and would love to see it used more.
A good nickname for Jane is Jenny.

I used to like it before, but I've lost a little interest in it lately. It's still sweet and timeless.

I love it. I think its short sassy beautiful and unexpected (these days). However, for a homely kinda girl, this name could turn on its head in an instant.

Not to sound cliché but it comes across as plain. If paired with the right first name, it makes for a nice middle name but other than that, I'm not a fan.

It's pretty cool. Short, simple, has the trendy long A, and yet, not commonly heard of [or at least, I never hear of little Janes].Looks like it's coming up the charts though. I'd like to see someone else use it.

A little plain. First thought is "Plain Jane". Second is "Mary Jane", like the shoes or the girl from Spiderman. I'm not too big on it. It's not terrible, so if you really dig it for something, go for it.
