Cecily
I've known of this name for a while but just recently grew to like it. I actually knew a Cecily. My friend's boyfriend's sister was named Cecily. I like it better than Cecilia. WDYT of Cecily? Would it go with a long Italian last name that sounds like "Meladenardo"? What middle name would work?Haven't run it by my hubby yet. With him nixing all of my favorites I don't feel very positive with this name either, but this time I'm building a case.I'm actually not going to bring up names again with the hubs until we hit the 18 week mark and find out the sex. I may bring up my old favorites again even though he nixed them along with some new names. Maybe he'll dislike the new names even more and then begin to like my old favorites by comparison! I mean if he's nixing like 10 names, maybe he needs to either start making a list on his own or grow to like at least one name on mine...

Cecily was a name I wanted to like for the longest time, but didn't until I this summer when someone named that started working with me. Many mistake her name for Sicily. I still prefer Cecilia, but Cecily is pretty and uncommon. I think it would probably fit your surname.

Thanks! I like: Cecily Adele, Cecily Beatrix, Cecily Catherine, Cecily Fern, Cecily June, Cecily Opal, Cecily Violet, and Cecily Winifred. I still hope to use a family middle name and Catherin and Winifred are family names for me.

I normally prefer Cecilia but for Meladenardo I think Cecily works best. It's sweet, and I'm rather surprised it hasn't been more popular, it being a -ly name and all. I like it because it was a common medieval name. :)
