Arabella
What is your opinion on this name?
How about the combo Arabella Sophia? Arabella Margaret is another thought. The truth is that it is far to long to go with my last name (also very long), so I wouldn't be able to use it, but I can still appreciate it.
Any other combos?
I'm suddenly really liking it.

I LOVE Arabella! It's a beautiful name and the meaning is "beautiful", too! :) I don't like Arabella Sophia because of the double -a ending. I like Arabella Margaret, and even if your last name is wrong, I would still use it if you love it. One of my friends' last name is 13 letters long, starts with a W, and it's hard to pronounce. Her first name is Mary-Madeleine and her middle name is Margaret. I think Arabella Margaret would be fine to use. :)
It's okay. I think it's very old-ladyish and reminds me of spiders. (Perhaps due to Aragog in the Harry Potter books.) Still, I like the 'bella' part.
True love!
It is number one on my girls list for the past two weeks. I love the grace and strength it has. It's got a very steely femininity to it. I like pairing it with more humble middle names to even out its high frilliness, like Arabella Pearl and Arabella June, but I also like Arabella Sophie (I can't get into first and middle names that both end in "a"). Arabella Margaret is quite nice, though I am not a fan of Margaret. It really adds to the no-nonsense edge Arabella holds for me. :)
Hooray Arabella!

I don't like Arabella Sophia. Too frilly and elaborate for me. Arabella Margaret is much fresher.
I would pair a name that's very feminine and long like Arabella with a shorter mn, probably a one-syllable name. Arabella Jane. Arabella June. Arabella Neve.
Or I might pair it with a more solid/severe sounding name - Arabella Irene or Arabella Edith. I think Arabella Irene is my favorite.

I have a cousin with this name, and I always thought it was too much for her to carry. Her mother corrects people if they dare call her a nickname, which is slightly obnoxious. Saying the full name over and over again can get tiresome.
Having said that, I will say Arabella Sophia is a lovely combo.

Generally, I like it. It reminds me of royalty although it can come off as a bit pretentious. I'm not a big fan Arabella Sophia, though.
How about:

Isabella's slightly snarky older sister.
Subjectively, I have a little dislike for this name because I feel like there are loads of people out there who love Isabella but Couldn't Stand to use it because it's Ridiculously Popular, so they uncover Arabella and feel really smug about it. Objectively, I don't like it that much any more but I used to dig it, it's neat.
Arabella Sophia does 0 for me. I might like Arabella Mary or Arabella Frances though.

Arabella Frances is great!
I'm sorry you don't like Arabella.
Arabella likes you.... *creepy stare*
LOL but really, I don't like Arabella as a smug way to pull the wool over the Popularity Police's eyes. I've liked it on and off since I was a little girl, it's very princessy, and I must admit a fondness for some very princessy names.
