I don't like Dorothy. I am from Kansas, and the Wizard of Oz jokes are annoying based on that. I would hate to be named Dorothy. Beyond that, it seems frumpy to me. It's not one of those antiquated names that appeals to me. I think Dora and Dory might enjoy limited popularity, but Dorothy is still the name of lots of living old people and so I think it may be a while before it makes a comeback.

I'm not crazy about Dorothea either, but I have moderately positive feelings toward Dora and Theodora.
