Rhian or Rhiannon?
Replies
I much prefer Rhiannon. It is a beautiful name.
I know both a Rhiannon and a Rhian. The rather posh, very Welsh, and highly opinionated Rhiannon is extremely proud of her acient and beautiful name, and I think it beats Rhian hands down. Rhian easly becomes lost in a sea of similar names such as Leanne, but Rhiannon always stands out.
If you use Rhiannon, there is still the possibility of using Rhian as a nn - so that's what I'd choose.

Thanks for your input. That's a nice idea about using Rhian as a nn, but I'm not big on nicknames in general. I figure if they want to use a nickname, I'll be okay with it, but I don't really want to give them one myself.
