Im not sure i go back and forth with these spellings I think i like the A better but the O is more common.

I much prefer Mariah. It looks so much nicer to me.

I like the spelling Moriah better, but I feel that, even though it's a feminine name, it looks more masculine. Mariah is definitely more elegant looking.

The name is pretty. It has a lovely sound. Moriah doesn't look so feminine to me. :)

I don't get elegant from either. I think free spirit. I think Moriah looks stupid. The o makes it look masculine. Mariah is better.

This has been a tough decision for me as well. I'm currently leanig toward Moriah. Mostly because it less popular where I live than Mariah is. I really like them both.

Moriah makes me think of Moria from Lord of the Rings.

I'd go with Moriah as opposed to Mariah. The latter reminds me of Mariah Carey and I am far from being a fan of hers.

I can't get over the Mariah Carey association, making Mariah seem like a flaky, ditzy, spoiled girl's name. Plus, there is just something about that O in Moriah that makes it deep and timeless, like something an ancient queen would be called.
