I love Alicia. I prefer it pronounced as it is in Spanish (ah-LEE-see-ah).

I like it. I've taught several students with this name, and the hardest part is remember how each one pronounces it.

I would pronounce it Uh-LEE-sha unless told otherwise (ie Uh-LISS-Sia). I personally detest the name, but it's because of a bad real life association not because of how it sounds. Of course, I also knew a girl named Licia once, pronounced LEE-sha and she was constantly contending with being called Dog-Licia.

Being British I would say ah-LISS-ee-uh, but a-LEE-sya is beautiful too. It's a gorgeous name, but ruined (imo) by the awful (imo!) uh-LEESH-uh pronunciation people use today.
