Re: Sidney and Nancy?

Eh, I think it sounds like a bad idea, for the couple reason - regardless of their fate. Sorry!
It's not just that Sid Vicious was well known, or that they were addicts. It's just because the film Sid & Nancy juxtaposed their names in a permanent meme that's unlikely to die before your kids grow up... so any time the sib names are said together someone's bound to notice and go, woah, like Sid Vicious! It'd detract really badly from the attractiveness and dignity of both names. Sort of like sisters named Thelma and Louise.
But.. once your kids were grown up and on their own, it would just about completely cease to matter. And that's most of life. I think when they were growing up, your kids' acquaintances and friends would learn to laugh it off, and your kids would learn to laugh off strangers' reactions, and it'd just be a silly joke for them by the time they're grown. So although I probably wouldn't do it if I were you, I wouldn't really disapprove if you did.
