It's okay for a girl. It sounds really dated, but I like the sort of dated feel it has.
I've known a lot of Jamies and Jaimes. Mostly girls, but a few boys. Currently I only know two Jaimes (one in her mid 30s, one in her mid 20s) and one male Jamie (in his mid 20s).
I've never met a Jamie-combo name. It sounds kind of tacky/trashy.
I think on a girl it's just fine because it works as a feminine form of James. On a boy though I'd prefer it as a nickname, and it's my favorite nn for James. I'd use it, but my DH doesn't like it much. I think on a boy today it would feel much more usable than on a girl.
