Bernadette - Betty. I don't really like any of these options, but Betty was slightly better than all-boy Bertie or Etta which I can see only on a dog.
Ekaterina - Katenka.
Georgiana - Gia. My favourite nn would be Gigi.
Katharine - Kitty. Kathy is very nice too.
Magdalene - Lena.
Magnolia - Nola. Neither are good, Magnolia could do without nn.
Minerva - Mina.
Winona - Winnie.

Vincent - Vinnie. I don't know if Vincent should have a nn, but I like Vinnie better than Vince.

Bernadette Betty, Bertie, or Etta --I actually rather prefer the full name. I know a Bernadette about my age whose nickname is Bernie.
Ekaterina Katya or Katenka --To be completely honest, I love both equally and hypothetically if I ever had a daughter named Ekaterina I would use both nicknames interchangeably.
Georgiana Georgie or Gia --I tend to associate Gia with Gianna and Giovanna. I'm not particularly fond of any of the nicknames.
Katharine Kate, Kitty, or Kathy --Kate is timeless to me. I also like Katie and would use it interchangeably with Kate like my cousin does.
Magdalene Maggie or Lena --I'd use Lena for Magdalena, but not Magdalene.
Magnolia Maggie or Nola --I prefer Nola for Finola and related names. I prefer Magnolia without a nickname.
Minerva Minnie or Mina --I like Mina, but Minnie is spunky.
Winona Winnie or Nona --I have bad associations with a dog named Winnie, heh. I prefer Winona without a nickname.

Domingo Dom or Ding --Ding just doesn't sound good.
Frederick Fred or Fritz --Fred is more universal. I also like Freddie/Freddy. Fritz is a gp of mine though. :-)
Vincent Vince or Vinnie --Vinnie conjures up unpleasant associations somehow. I like the couple of Vinces that I have known.

Ekaterina -Katya (it's prettier, Katenka sounds like the sound a car makes when it's broke)

Magdalene -Lena (If it was only between these, Magda is my fav though. I dislike Maggie, reminds me of maggots)
Magnolia -Nola (this is the abbreviation for our home town, New Orleans, LA)
Minerva -Minnie (I love both, but these seems a bit more intuitive to me)
Winona -Nona (it's prettier and more intuitive)
