I like Jenna, but the "fer" on Jennifer is downright unattractive. Both names will possibly make a comeback in ~30-40 years, but for now, they've been too overused. Currently, I'm seeing more Giannas and Genevieves, which sound similar but have ditched their dated older sister.

All of the Jennifers I've met go by Jen. I know a Virginia who goes by Ginny.
