Re: Jennifer and Jenna

There was only one Jennifer in my entire high school, but you see, I'm much older than almost everyone else here, so that's not surprising. At the time that I was born, Jennifer was not a popular name at all. That lay about ten years into the future.
I've known three Jennifers, all little girls when I knew them, who'd now be in their twenties. None went by Jenny, surprisingly. I've never known anyone whose full name is Jenny.
I've never been overly fond of Jennifer because I don't like the last syllable. FER is not an attractive sound to me. So I'd choose Jenna over Jennifer. I don't think that Jennifer will make a comeback for a long long time. It was just too popular too recently. I can see Jenna being popular.
I think that more people should follow the old Scottish custom of using Jenny as a nickname for Jane.
