I love it and I would consider using it.

NeutralIt's not one of my great faves, but it's my nephew's mn and therefore worthy of my interest. I personally love it best in combination with, yes, Mark. I know, I know, but I do, and that's all there is to it. *sigh*

Overall, I'm in a slight limbo with this name. I want to like it more, but what with the very high popularity it has (well, I may as well face it, this name's not going anywhere) I feel somewhat hesitant to use it. Nevertheless, I still like it. If I ever used it though, I would be more likely to use it as a middle name.Although regarding the popularity, I have only seen it on a boy maybe 2 or 3 times throughout my school years.

Ugh...BAD memories for me.I dated a guy named Anthony in high school, and he was a jerk. Can't like the name just because of that ONE guy.

I've never liked it, but I don't know why. Something about it rubs me the wrong way. I prefer Anton.

DislikeI've always disliked Anthony and any similar names like Antonio and Anton. I don't like the look of "Ant-" and I don't like the sound of the name.

My little brother's nameI still don't like it though. I love him to pieces obviously, so I have always waited for the day that I would warm to his name and nearly ten years later it still hasn't come. I find it plain and weak and kind of cutesy. It just really doesn't sound nice to my ear. I slightly prefer Antony or Anton. I quite like the nn Ant though which is what we call my brother and it is also what I call my best friend (he is an Antony whose real name is actually Ante ...confusing)

Strong, mascuiln, classic, with nn like Ant or Tony if you like (I like it as Anthony), not so popular like Willim, James etc Really nice name!

I like it but hate hate hate the nn Tony.
Following my mother's lead, I used to pronounce the th until an English Anthony indignantly told me that the h is silent - thus it sounds like Antony.
The name Dorothy is similar, in that it used to be pronounced Doroty -although unlike Anthony the articulated th sound is pretty universal with Dorothy whereas in Britain most people seem to pronounce Anthony Antony, and Americans Anthony.
I know a 30-something Antony (which might make life easier in the pronunciation department) and a 30-something Anton (I quite like it though at first thought it sounded prissy)as well.

I personally think it is awesome...But since its my name I cant really comment, other than to say I have never had anyone think it was strange, or too common.
