I haven't read the books, I'm a bit old for them. But it doesn't seem like a great association. :/I prefer other Rose names. Rosalie is a suburb in my city.

I love it!In my opinion the only twilight name is Renesmee. Because every other name existed way before twilight.

It's nice, elegant and sophisticated, and way better than the dull-as-dirt Rose. I think people worry too much about Twilight. Most of the names used there have a long history of use, they're not something like, say, Nimphadora or Frodo, that didn't really exist before the books.

Love RosalieIt's not one of my favorites, but I still really like this name.

Don't like it..It's just a frillier version of Rose, to me. Rosaline, Rosalind, Rosamund are much better, imo.

Love it!It's the name of a favorite relative of mine. I'd use it to honor her. But only as a middle name because I don't like the sound of R first names with my R surname.Twilight shmilight. It's not a Twilight name at all.

I like Rose much moreand Twilight kind of ruins Rosalie. In ten years that probably won't be a problem

I hate it.I don't know why, but I've always hated this name. Not a fan.

Love itIt was my first teachers name, she was so nice. I don't think it's as saturated in twilight as Edward and Bella are.

I like it. I have for a while. And I never read or saw Twilight, so I wouldn't know.

I love Rosalie. It's a charming name. It's the name of one of my great aunts.I haven't read any of the Twilight series, so I don't associate it with the character/books.

I have always associated Rosalie with the Thin Lizzy song. :D
That's just me, though.

I dislike it. I dislike all names beginning with Rose though. It makes me think of Rose but smooshed together with another name. I do love Rose though.

No, it's quite a cute name, and the book's popularity will surely wane. I adore the name Rosalia also (more than Rosalie), rose-uh-LEE-uh. That is just stunning, and reminds me of a lovely Spanish dancer.

I like Rosalia too, but I always want to say it rose-A-lee-a, even though I don't think that's legit...

There's a REALLY cool song by Better Than Ezra called "Rosealia." Actually I just bought it on iTunes. *memories*

I know, right? "Why couldn't you have just named them all Bob..." XDI don't immediately think of Twilight, but if someone mentions the association I have a hard time forgetting about it. I don't think it's TOO Twilight-ified, though. I like it, although I probably wouldn't use it myself. I don't know anyone named Rosalie. When I hear it I picture someone between the ages of 9 and 30; I can imagine older but it's a bit hard to picture younger. I think Lie / Lee or Lia is the best nn for it; Rosie is sort of boring IMO.

I've always admired Rosalie.I have not read -- nor do I intend to read -- Twilight, so I'm unfamiliar with the association; nevertheless, the name existed before Twilight and thus transcends the aforementioned association.

This entirely!
