Blech! As others have noted, this is a common role in many protestant churches (and Catholic, apparently). Not only is the sound really severe, but what if the person is not a Christian, and they are saddled with such an overtly religious name? This is like naming your kid Reverend, Pastor, Priest, Cardinal, Pope... It's just funny, to me, and way too presumptuous.
