The Name Riley: Spelling and nicknames?
I've just started liking this name, and I was wondering what are some opinions on the best spelling for it? And what about nicknames? My favourite one is Riles (what do you think? Lame or cool?)

For a boy I like the spelling Riley and for a girl Rylie. Riles is a pretty cool nn I think and the obvious one is Ry.

I actually kind of like it on a boy. I don't really mind it on a girl, but I do think it goes much better on a boy.I think Riles is no good. I don't like it when people put s on the end of short forms of things. Like calling a Julia "Jules." Plus riles(/rile) is a word.I just heard the name Rilo. I think that would be a kind of cool nn, although I really don't think Riley needs a nn at all.

I kind of like Riley for a girl. I don't like it for a boy, though; I think it sounds much better as a female name.I only like the original spelling. I've seen Rilee/Rileigh/Rilei (seriously, REILEI), and I don't think ANY of them look good. Riley is just fine.

I like the name Riley for a boy and I like it spelled Reily. I think nicknames just come to you. Riles is nice but will he/she *be* like a Riles? Just a thought ;)
