I love Gwendolen. In fact, Gwendolen was one of the names I wanted to change my name to when I was a child (the other was Bridget). BTW, I love this spelling so much better than Gwendolyn (maybe because I despise Lynn and variants). I don't care for Gwendoline either. I want to pronounce it like Caroline.
