Rowan is one of my favourites for a girl. I like it on a boy but I think I prefer it on a girl because it seems more 'hippie?' whereas on a boy it's just a name. A nice name but just a name. Maybe because it rhymes with Owen (also on my list)? But yeah, Rowan is just my style and as I said, like on a boy, love on a girl. The only combo I have so far is Rowan Meredith.

I have a friend (female) with this name. So I may be a little biased but I really like it! Since I know her with the name, I don't think I could envision it on a boy though.

Well, I like it for both. It's one of those rare unisex names that I can easily on any child. Great name.

I personally really like the name Rowan. I would use it for me but it doesn't sound right with our lastname.
